Did you ever stop to think of the wondrous gift Hashem gave you?

A body, with all of its working parts.
Your pumping heart and expanding lungs.
Every living cell and organ that works without stop.
Your kidneys that clean your blood, removing waste and toxins.
Your brain, the most amazing command center that keeps your body moving and safe.
None of this can be taken for granted.

Not only should we be aware of our body’s wonders,
we must also take the time
to reflect and appreciate all that we have.

Too often,
we don’t even recognize what a gift our working bodies are,
until something goes awry and stops working.

But we don’t have to let that happen.
We don’t have to wait.
We have an opportunity,
multiple times each day
to thank Hashem for the systems and intricacies
of our bodies that work so perfectly,
in sync
to keep us healthy.

The bracha of Asher Yatzar is an amazing chance
to stop and appreciate our gifts.
To thank Hashem for every detail
and for each and every cell.

Take advantage of this chance!
Stop and think about what you are saying.
We were formed with such wisdom.
Every opening and hollow in our bodies
serves a purpose.

How grateful we must be when they work the way are meant to!
If not for Hashem controlling our bodies,
there would be no way for us to survive.

When you say Asher Yatzar,
remember you are speaking to the Rofeh Chol Basar (Healer of all beings).
He gave us this amazing gift,
and He also gives us the chance to recognize it.

Saying Asher Yatzar with kavanah (concentration)
is life-changing.
It gives you pause, and lends focus to your day.

Suddenly, you deeply appreciate
all that you have
and all that you can do.
You woke up this morning,
you were able to get out of bed,
you can read this article
and understand just how grateful you should be.

Our working bodies are gifts from Hashem
and so is the bracha of Asher Yatzar!
